The CZT 38 recipient is an art teacher at a rural school where a majority of students are considered economically disadvantaged. She uses the Zentangle Method with her students to not only teach them the seven elements of art, but also as way to address the meditative and stress relieving benefits of creating art. She finds that doing Zentangle activities with her students helps them see themselves as artists and her more reluctant learners are more willing to participate because everyone can be successful at it.
